Morelia Gourmet Paletas turned the popsicle on its head the moment we launched our first store in Coral Gables in 2016.
Drawing inspiration from Mexico’s ubiquitous frozen treat, our company sought to introduce a new way to enjoy popsicles, one that included the highest-quality ingredients and the option to have it just the way you like. It’s all about the ice cream experience!
Every paleta sold across our 10 stores comes from Morelia’s headquarters in Hollywood, Florida, where they’re made fresh daily.
You’ll find 16 different flavors at each of our shops, including fruit-based and vegan; dairy-based, similar to gelato but in popsicle form; and a filled paleta with a creamy center that oozes out when you bite into it. (Yum!) This last one was inspired by our time tasting paletas in Brazil, where the idea for Morelia was first conceived—but more on that later.
You’ll see the colorful array of paletas on display in a large cooler when you walk into any of the shops, along with information about dietary restrictions.
Not only is every single paleta made from natural ingredients and kosher, but we also label them to ensure you know exactly what you’re getting—such as gluten-free, vegan, dairy, and no sugar added.
Some of our paletas are sweetened while others contain only the fructose you’d find in the actual fresh fruit, think our tart pineapple mint. Others, like the lime flavor, contain actual chunks of fruit so you can see exactly what’s inside.
The Morelia Way: Pick It, Dip It, & Top It

You can walk into any ice cream shop, place your order and go but that’s not what you’re here for.
We want to be your afternoon respite, a place to sit back with a delicious dessert and take a beat. We’re also the ones to keep you out a little later than expected, luring you in after dinner for a sweet treat and a few more minutes of conversation.
So, how do we do it? First, it’s about choice. You start by picking your paleta and deciding whether you’d like it naked—enjoyed as-is—wrapped inside of a freshly baked waffle cone or as an ice cream sandwich between two thin cookies.
Then it’s time to dip! We offer crunchy hazelnut chocolate, white chocolate, cookie butter, and dark chocolate.
Once your paleta is all nice and covered then come to the toppings. Choose from almonds, toasted coconut flakes, a drizzle of condensed milk, graham cracker crumbs, Oreo crumbles, peanuts, pistachios, rainbow sprinkles, or Miguelito (spicy sugar).
There’s no limit to the flavor combinations you can create— deciding what you’ll choose is the hard part.
